The Handbook of Competition Economics 2017

The year 2016 has been marked by two interesting merger control decisions by the president of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection in Poland (OCCP), both concerning concentrations cleared unconditionally. The OCCP also issued a decision fining the Polish incumbent rail freight operator for abusing its dominant position. Finally, the OCCP continued to monitor undertakings operating on the market of online platforms.
