Microeconomix has a long experience in the telecommunications sector, both related to legal advisory and sector regulations.
We have advised leading mobile operators in their defense strategy before competition authorities and commercial courts. We have worked, for example, on the economic arguments concerning an exclusive distribution agreement for the iPhone, on the effects of information exchange in the mobile telecommunication sector or on the characterization of practices of margin squeezing in the field of data transmission.
We have applied our knowledge of sector regulations to the telecommunications sector when dealing with questions related to the rules for apportioning the costs of the deployment of fibre, valuations of universal service, or regarding the awarding of WiMax licences.
We are also developing our activaties in the field of economic expertise applied to the telecommunications sector in Africa, where we have conducted several cases before national regulary authorities, in particular concerning the awarding and valuation of new licences.
